AKRON — Haley Puk’s 3-pointer with 19.9 seconds to play lifted the Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team to a 66-64 victory over Akron in a Mid-American Conference game at JAR Arena Saturday.
Puk finished with 13 points for the Falcons (9-7, 1-4 MAC), while Carly Santoro posted 19 points and 11 rebounds. Sydney Lambert added 14 points for BG.
Alyssa Clay made six 3-pointers to score a game-high 22 points for the Zips, while Shaunay Edmonds added 15 for Akron (6-10, 0-5 MAC).
