A pair of Bowling Green State University women's soccer standouts have swept the Mid-American Conference weekly awards. Senior Chelsee Washington has been named the MAC Offensive Player of the Week, while classmate Maureen Kennedy has captured the MAC Defensive-Player-of-the-Week award. The conference office announced the award winners on Tuesday morning (Oct. 15).
Washington earns the MAC Offensive P-O-T-W award for the first time this season and the third time in her BGSU career. Kennedy earns the honor for the second consecutive week and the fifth time in her BGSU career.
Additionally, Kennedy was named to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week, drawing a mention from that web site for the second-straight Tuesday.
