BOWLING GREEN — Thirteen months ago, Daeqwon Plowden was a bench player on a 4-4 basketball team picked to finish last in its conference.
The year that followed has been slightly different.
Plowden, Bowling Green’s junior power forward, has blossomed into one of the most versatile players in the Mid-American Conference, and in the span of a year has gone from a rotation player on a mediocre team to an All-MAC candidate being watched by professional scouts.
Currently averaging 13 points and eight rebounds per game, Plowden is on pace to more than double his previous career averages.
