Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Jet's Pizza Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's basketball player Daeqwon Plowden and women's basketball player Caterrion Thompson.
Daeqwon Plowden, a junior from Philadelphia, Pa., averaged 17.5 points and 11.5 rebounds during Bowling Green's two-game stay at the Boardwalk Battle. Plowden registered the fourth and fifth double-doubles of his career.
