BOWLING GREEN — As one era ends, a new one hopes to begin.
When the Bowling Green State University men’s basketball team takes the floor this winter, they will be doing so without Daeqwon Plowden on its roster for the first time in five seasons.
Plowden left BGSU as one of this generation’s most notable players, and he departs among the top of many statistical leaderboards, including being the program’s all-time leader in games played.
The Falcons’ top scorer and rebounder allowed coach Michael Huger to play big, but the dynamic might downsize a bit for the foreseeable future with the arrival of point guard Willie Lightfoot.
