BOWLING GREEN — What began as a strength for Bowling Green State University’s football team at the start of the season has become a growing concern.
Falcons’ coach Scot Loeffler is hoping his team can fix it sooner rather than later.
BGSU has struggled in pass protection recently by allowing 10 sacks the past two games, including six in Saturday’s 17-7 Mid-American Conference loss to Northern Illinois. The Falcons didn’t allow a sack in the first two games of the season and only gave up three the following two contests.
Injuries along the offensive line have been costly, but Loeffler and his team know the offense as a whole needs to improve in order to keep the quarterback upright.
