COLUMBUS — A 3-0 lead entering the final 20 minutes of hockey ultimately wasn’t enough for Bowling Green State University to defeat No. 17 Ohio State on Thursday at the Schottenstein Center.
It took nearly an extra two minutes of game time, but the Buckeyes kept pushing and finally broke through.
Ohio State scored two goals in the span of 1:10 in the third period, got a late equalizer, and capped off a 4-3 overtime victory over the visiting Falcons with a breakaway goal from one of its captains in the first game of an end of the week, home-and-home series between the teams.
