BOWLING GREEN — The Bowling Green State University found itself in a shootout with Ohio University on Saturday.
Compounding the problem for the Falcons was that they entered the shootout basically unarmed.
So while the Bobcats were busy setting a Stroh Center record by making 18 3- pointers, BG was giving extended minutes to walk-ons and football players after four Falcons were suspended Thursday.
Predictably, Ohio romped to a 96-72 victory.

“We had four guys who did not carry themselves in a first-class matter, and so they were suspended for this game,” said BG coach Michael Huger, speaking publicly for the first time since the suspensions — given to seniors Ismail Ali and Zack Denny along with sophomores Antwon Lillard and Rasheed Worrell — were dished out.
