BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University football coach Scot Loeffler had a specific goal in mind for his offense in Thursday’s season opener against Fordham.
The Falcons accomplished it in a big way.
With the help of a massive and experienced offensive line and a deep and talented group of players in the backfield, BGSU ran the ball at will in its 41-17 victory at Doyt Perry Stadium. The Falcons’ 305 rushing yards were their most since racking up 326 in a 46-3 win over Morgan State to start the 2019 season — Loeffler’s first leading the program – and BGSU held Fordham without a sack as well.
