BOWLING GREEN — If Thursday’s scrimmage is the point of reference, the Bowling Green State University football team’s defense is ahead of its offense.
The Falcons’ defense controlled much of Thursday’s scrimmage — especially the early drives — and scored two touchdowns on turnovers.
The offense was not able to score until it was placed in short-yardage situations at Perry Field House.
“[The defense] came out with a sense of urgency — they wanted to be out here more than the offense did,” BG coach Mike Jinks said. “We have to have a greater sense of urgency [on offense] during these live sessions.
