BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s 11-game winning streak ended on Wednesday as Northern Illinois posted an 85-81 Mid-American Conference women’s basketball victory at the Stroh Center.
BGSU suffered its first loss since its MAC opener on Jan. 4 (81-73 defeat at Ball State). The Falcons fell to 22-3 (11-2 MAC).
Northern Illinois improved to 13-11 (5-8 MAC).
Nyla Hampton had 17 points to lead the Falcons. Allison Day and Lexi Fleming each scored 15, Elissa Brett had 11 points, and Amy Velasco scored 10.
A’Jah Davis had 16 points, 16 rebounds, and four assists for Northern Illinois.
