Freddy Gerard scored his second goal of the season with 2:58 remaining in regulation for Ohio State, and the Buckeyes and Bowling Green went scoreless in overtime as the teams played to a 2-2 tie Saturday in a nonconference game at the Slater Family Ice Arena.
The 15th-ranked Falcons (5-1-1) were able to stand up to the No. 4 Buckeyes (3-2-1) during the home-and-home series after winning 8-2 on Friday.
After Carson Meyer’s goal in the first put Ohio State up 1-0, Bowling Green rallied back behind third-period goals from Lukas Craggs and Connor Ford, the latter of which came at the 15:10 mark of the period to put the Falcons on top 2-1.
