BOWLING GREEN – The Bowling Green State University hockey team landed three haymakers in the first 14 minutes of Saturday night’s contest against Clarkson.
And those three quick goals helped the Falcons roll to a 6-3 victory at the BG Ice Arena.
“Mentally we’ve been talking about coming out and throwing punches right from the start,” said freshman defenseman Connor McDonald. “That’s what we did tonight.”
Bowling Green got a goal from Jakob Reichert just 1:33 into the contest, then added power-play goals from Ben Murphy and Sean Walker to jump-start an offense that tied its season-high in goals.
