BOWLING GREEN — A lot of players on Bowling Green State University’s football team will be looking to take advantage of new opportunities over the next several weeks.
As the Falcons opened spring practice Thursday morning at Perry Field House, numerous top players were sidelined while still rehabbing injuries sustained last season. Sixth-year BGSU coach Scot Loeffler, who last season guided the Falcons (7-6, 5-3 Mid-American Conference) to their first winning campaign since 2015, is viewing the spring not only as a chance for younger players to gain experience, but for veterans to learn, as well.
“We’ve got a ton of guys out right now with injury,” Loeffler said.
