BOWLING GREEN — Nate Needham kicked 11 of 13 footballs through the uprights as the sun set over the facade of a chilly and windy Doyt Perry Stadium.
Two misses — one more than he registered in his senior season — but one overall hit to close out Monday’s Pro Day festivities at Bowling Green State University.
“Waited a little while, but I’m pretty happy with the performance,” Needham said. “Thought I improved my kickoffs pretty well. All around a pretty good day. I’m pretty happy with it.”
A Football Writers Association of America All-American choice and a semifinalist for the 2021 Lou Groza Award, Needham made a long field goal attempt of 60 yards, and he missed from 52 and 60 on Monday.
