BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green director of athletics Bob Moosbrugger said he acted with players in mind when he decided to fire Mike Jinks on Sunday with the season still in progress.
The Falcons are 1-6 this season and went 7-24 during Jinks’ tenure at Bowling Green.
At a news conference Monday, Moosbrugger said there was no one moment that led to Jinks’ dismissal as head coach, but he arrived at his conclusion this weekend that the program needed a change.
“I keep analyzing the situation and kept thinking about what we were missing, what these players need to be successful,” Moosbrugger said.
