BOWLING GREEN — With the college football season at its halfway point, here are our midseason awards for the Bowling Green football team.
Offensive MVP: Matt McDonald
McDonald, spotty his first two years, has proven himself to be a quarterback more than capable of winning in the Mid-American Conference. He was superb against Eastern Kentucky, Marshall, and Akron, recovering nicely from both a down day against UCLA and an absence due to injury against Mississippi State. If he puts his performance against Buffalo behind him, Bowling Green should be able to steal some wins in the back half of its schedule.
