BOWLING GREEN — Keiryn McGuff faced one of the toughest challenges in the Mid-American Conference in her first career start on Wednesday.
The Bowling Green State University freshman passed in brilliant fashion.
McGuff hampered Akron junior forward and first-team all-MAC selection Reagan Bass with relentless defensive pressure that highlighted BGSU’s 70-59 victory at the Stroh Center. The 6-foot guard/forward held Bass to 12 points (4 of 9 shooting) and eight rebounds in 33 minutes.
