Little Rock, Ark. – Bowling Green State University special teams coordinator and linebackers coach Matt Brock has been named a nominee for 2017 Broyles Award, which honors college football's top assistant coaches. In total, 56 assistant coaches earned nominations from the approximately 1,500 assistant coaches in FBS Football.
Brock has done a tremendous job with Bowling Green's special teams units, allowing kicker Jake Suder and punter Joseph Davidson to thrive individually, while guiding coverage and return units that rank among the best in the country.
Suder has made 16-of-18 field goals and ranks among the top 10 in the country in field goal percentage.
