BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green State University wide receiver Roger Lewis has declared for the 2016 National Football League Draft, the sophomore announced on Monday. Lewis, who was a sophomore in 2015, had two years of eligibility remaining for the Falcons. Lewis is the first BGSU football player to declare for the draft early since Omar Jacobs following the 2005 season.
"I'd like to thank Athletic Director Chris Kingston and Coach Dino Babers for giving me the opportunity to play at BGSU," Lewis said on Twitter. "I also want to thank the rest of the coaching staff, my teammates, our great fans and all of my professors for helping me along the way.
