Caterrion Thompson exploded for a career-high 32 points and tied a school record, but Kent State University was able to escape the Stroh Center with a 96-86 double-overtime victory over the Bowling Green women's basketball team Saturday afternoon (Feb. 29).
On Senior Day, Thompson – a fourth-year Falcon – matched the BGSU single-game record by making eight three-point field goals. Thompson was 8-for-10 from the arc and pulled down nine rebounds on the afternoon.
Junior Angela Perry scored 24 points and had a game-high five blocked shots, while sophomore Kadie Hempfling had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds, adding a team-high six assists.
