BOWLING GREEN — Sophomore guard Paige Kohler totaled 28 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, and three steals as Bowling Green State University’s women’s basketball team knocked off Akron 82-69 in a Mid-American Conference game on Wednesday at the Stroh Center.
The Falcons ended a two-game skid to improve to 10-10 (4-5 MAC). Akron fell to 9-12 (3-6).
Kohler scored 20 of her points in the first half as BGSU took a 39-32 lead after 20 minutes. She shot 11 of 19 overall from the floor, including 6 of 14 from 3-point range.
Ten of the 12 BGSU players who entered the game scored.
