Mobile, Ala. – Kermit Stroh, who earned an honorary doctorate from Bowling Green State University in 2002 and was named a BGSU honorary alumnus in 2003, was honored with a Champion of Life award at the Mayor's Luncheon Tuesday prior to the GoDaddy Bowl. Bowling Green, at 10-3 on the season, will play Georgia Southern in the GoDaddy Bowl Wednesday at 8 pm ET on ESPN.
Stroh was one of eight Champion of Life honorees Tuesday along with Acie Campbell, Joseph P. Hand Jr., Randy Patrick, Adrian Peterson, Lee Shirvanian, Siran Stacy and Dr. Samuel Strada. Legendary sportscaster Brent Musburger was the keynote speaker for the event.
