In the first meeting with Kent State, the Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team managed to shut down Jordan Korinek, who leads the Mid-American Conference in scoring.
Not this time. Korinek scored an efficient 36 points as the Golden Flashes routed the Falcons 81-57 on Wednesday night.
Korinek, who led the MAC in scoring at 20.1 points per game entering the contest, was held to just six shots and seven points during a 60-50 loss Jan. 17 at the Stroh Center.
But the Falcons couldn’t replicate that defensive performance on Wednesday, when she knocked down 12 of 18 field-goal attempts and 10 of 11 free throws.
