BOWLING GREEN — Max Johnson scored with 12.6 seconds remaining to push Bowling Green State University hockey past Ferris State 3-2 on Friday at Slater Family Ice Arena.
Johnson scored the game-winner on assists from Will Cullen and Tim Theocharidis. With the win, BGSU advanced to 5-1-0 in the young season.
After a scoreless first period, Bowling Green struck first on an Alex Barber goal two minutes into the second. Taylor Schneider and Carson Musser assisted. BGSU tacked on another goal halfway through the period, as Seth Fyten found the net. Ethan Scardina and T.J. Lloyd assisted.
