BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green coach Mike Jinks said at a news conference Monday that it was “unfair” for boosters to anonymously criticize the state of the Falcons’ football team.
In a Blade column published in the Oct. 3 edition, several Bowling Green boosters spoke to columnist David Briggs on the condition of anonymity, with one of them calling the BG football program “a total train wreck.”
Asked about the comments on Monday, Jinks said he believed they were unfair to the players and harmful to Bowling Green’s recruitment of high school players.
“I’m not really going to get into any of that, but I will say this: It’s unfair,” Jinks said.
