BOWLING GREEN — Jim Herrmann, hired two months ago as one of Scot Loeffler’s assistant coaches at Bowling Green, will leave the school to pursue another opportunity in professional football, the school confirmed Friday.
Herrmann will coach through the final of Bowling Green’s 15 spring practices before vacating his position as the associate head coach and linebackers coach.
A longtime assistant at Michigan, where Loeffler also played and coached, Herrmann joined the new staff after spending more than a decade as an assistant coach in the National Football League.
“I am extremely thankful for the work Jim did with our defense during this time of transition,” Loeffler said in a statement.
