COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Bowling Green State University football coach Scot Loeffler and his staff aren’t afraid to take chances when it comes to special teams.
It paid off in some big ways against No. 25 Texas A&M on Saturday night, but a couple key plays and missed opportunities also came back to haunt the Falcons.
Between a blocked punt on defense, a missed field goal at a critical moment, a pair of failed onside kicks, and some well-executed punts to win the field position game in the first half, BGSU had a wild showing in the special teams department in its narrow 26-20 loss to the Aggies in front of just under 100,000 fans.
