DeKALB, Ill. – Northern Illinois University took advantage of a third-inning error to put a crooked number on the board, and the Huskies went on to a 5-1 win over the Bowling Green State University softball team on Friday (May 5). The game, the opener of a Mid-American Conference weekend series, was held at Mary M. Bell Field.
Starting pitcher Madi Young allowed just three hits and no earned runs for the Falcons (8-40, 1-27 MAC), and Hannah Davies surrendered just one hit in three and a third innings of relief.
