BOWLING GREEN — Michael Huger and Bowling Green State University finalized a contract extension Friday that adds three years to the contract of the men’s basketball coach.
The university gave Huger, an alumnus of Bowling Green, a pay increase of $90,000 from his previous base salary, bringing his total salary to $415,000 for the coming season. The new contract runs through 2024.
In an interview with The Blade last month, Huger confirmed the two sides were working on a new deal after the Falcons made a run to the Mid-American Conference tournament championship game, where they fell to top-seeded Buffalo.
