BOWLING GREEN — The Bowling Green women’s basketball team ended a season-long, 10-game losing streak on Wednesday night by picking up a 78-72 win over Buffalo.
It is the first Mid-American Conference victory this season for the Falcons, who led the entire game and were up by as many as 20.
With 1:12 remaining, Buffalo got to within two points, 73-71. The Bulls were still forced to foul, however, and BG (8-14, 1-10 MAC) made five of their six free throws over the final minute to secure the win.
Andrea Cecil had a team-high 26 points and also had seven rebounds and five assists.
