CINCINNATI – The Bowling Green Falcons opened the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational on Friday, March 31, competing at the meet's hammer throw. Mateya Haintz was spectacular for the Falcons, winning the event with a mark of 195-3.00 (59.52m), nearly 10 feet better than the runner-up. This ranks her fourth in program history, trailing only Brooke Pleger, Kaila Butler, and Aliyah Gustafson. This is the second consecutive weekend Haintz has won the hammer throw after taking last week's crown at the Miami Blizzard Buster. Reagan Emberton also competed for Bowling Green, throwing a season-best 145-2.
