BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s run defense has been put to the test early this season.
It won’t get any easier this week, and if the Falcons want to pull off a stunning victory at No. 25 Texas A&M, slowing down the Aggies on the ground will be critical.
After allowing three 100-yard rushers through its first two games, including two in a narrow loss to then-No. 8 Penn State on Sept. 7, BGSU (1-1) will face the No. 9 rushing team in the country in Texas A&M (2-1). The Aggies, who are coming off back-to-back 300-yard performances in wins over McNeese State and Florida, are averaging 263 rushing yards per game.
