Quarterback Connor Bazelak faked a handoff and found a wide-open Malcolm Johnson, Jr., over the middle for a 50-yard touchdown to give BGSU a 10-3 lead with 1:21 left. Terion Stewart’s runs of 14, 3, and 8 yards the previous three plays helped set up the score.
