u25a0 What happened: Akron took advantage of a huge mistake from BGSU’s special teams to take the lead after the opening frame.
On the final play of the quarter, BGSU’s Justin Pegues couldn’t corral an Akron punt. After it hit him, the ball bounced into the end zone and the Zips’ Liam Reardon recovered it for a touchdown to give Akron a 10-7 lead.
