BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball team couldn’t close the deal against another top Mid-American Conference team as Ohio outlasted the Falcons 86-81 on Tuesday at the Stroh Center.
BGSU fell to 9-15 overall (3-8 MAC). The Falcons’ losses to each of the top four teams in the league — Akron, Miami (Ohio), Toledo, and Ohio — have been by a combined 29 points.
Ohio, which entered the contest 2-5 in its past seven games, improved to 13-11 (7-4 MAC).
The Falcons took their biggest lead, 48-38, with 15:30 left after Derrick Butler’s drive for a score.
