BOWLING GREEN — Trey Thomas scored 18 of his game-high 22 points in the second half, Marcus Johnson totaled 21 points with a season-high nine rebounds and three assists, and Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball team pulled away from Buffalo for a 79-61 Mid-American Conference win on Tuesday at the Stroh Center.
BGSU (7-9, 2-2 MAC) used a 47-33 scoring advantage in the second half to get the win. The Falcons shot 14 of 28 overall (6 of 12 from 3-point range) in the final 20 minutes after making just 8 of 25 shots (2 of 12 from beyond the arc) in the first half.
