BOWLING GREEN — Marcus Hill led five Bowling Green State University players in double figures scoring with 28 points, including 10 of the team’s last 12, and grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds as the Falcons held off Western Michigan 84-79 in a Mid-American Conference men’s basketball game on Saturday at the Stroh Center.
BGSU improved to 14-4 overall, including 5-1 in the MAC. The Falcons are tied with Toledo for second in the league; both are one game back of conference unbeaten Akron (6-0).
DaJion Humphrey added 13 points and three steals in 17 minutes off the bench in helping spark BGSU in the first half, while freshman EJay Greer scored all of his career-high 12 points in the second half in just seven minutes off the bench.
