OXFORD, Ohio — Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball team trimmed a 13-point deficit with five minutes remaining to one, but the Falcons couldn’t snatch the lead as Miami (Ohio) held off the Falcons for an 84-76 Mid-American Conference win on Tuesday at Millett Hall.
BGSU suffered its second straight single-digit loss to fall to 7-11 (2-4 MAC). Miami (14-4, 6-0) won its eighth straight game to remain undefeated in league play.
The Falcons went nearly eight minutes without a field goal — and made just free throws — midway through the second half as the RedHawks turned a 54-51 deficit into a 69-56 lead with 6:59 left.
