BOWLING GREEN — A remarkable second-half comeback for the Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball team came up just short as Davidson held off the Falcons 91-85 on Friday at the Stroh Center.
BGSU fell behind 43-23 with 2:55 left in the first half but pulled within 86-83 with 29.8 seconds left. The Falcons, though, couldn’t get any closer as the Wildcats made 5 of 6 free throws in the final 25 seconds to win.
BGSU fell to 0-2 for the first time since the 2016-17 season. Davidson improved to 2-0.
Javontae Campbell poured in a game-high 30 points on 10-of-13 shooting (10 of 12 free throws) for the Falcons.
