FIRST QUARTER
New Mexico State University took advantage of an early Bowling Green State University turnover, and Falcons quarterback Matt McDonald left the game after taking a hard hit out of bounds as the Aggies took a 7-0 lead in the Quick Lane Bowl after the first quarter.
Quarterback Diego Pavia capped off New Mexico State’s opening drive with a 15-yard touchdown pass to Star Thomas to give the Aggies a 7-0 lead with 9:39 left in the first quarter.
