BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green stalled its first drive at the Eastern Michigan 7-yard line and settled for a Nate Needham 25-yard field goal in taking a 3-0 lead in an otherwise uneventful first quarter at Doyt Perry Stadium.
Eastern Michigan ended the quarter in Falcons territory with a 1st-and-10 on the BGSU 32 and scored on the second play of the second quarter, as quarterback Ben Bryant connected with Bryson Cannon for a 31-yard touchdown strike up the middle of the field to give the Eagles their 7-3 lead with 14:16 to play in the first half.
