Bowling Green’s Elissa Brett hit a 3-pointer in the final seconds to trim the Falcons’ deficit to seven at halftime.
BGSU pulled within four on multiple occasions in the quarter, but couldn’t get any closer as Columbia led the entire first half. Columbia’s Kitty Henderson hit a 3-pointer to give the Lions its biggest lead of the quarter, 43-33, late in the frame.
