BIG RAPIDS, Mich. — Mark Friedman’s overtime goal gave Bowling Green State University a 3-2 victory over Ferris State in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association road game Friday.
Twice the Falcons overcome a one-goal deficit before Friedman scored his seventh goal of the year just 34 seconds into the extra session for the victory.
Bowling Green (14-14-2, 12-10-1-1) strengthened its hold on fourth place in the WCHA standings.
It was the Falcons’ second straight overtime win.
Ferris State fell to 8-16-4 overall and 7-11-3-2- in WCHA play.
The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission on a goal by Tyler Andrew at 7:02 of the opening period.
