BOWLING GREEN — Taylor Turner didn’t have to wait long to find a new school for her final collegiate softball season.
The former Springfield High School star had a pretty good feeling about where her next home would be when she heard from an area coach the day she entered the transfer portal.
Turner, who spent the last three seasons pitching for a highly successful Miami (Ohio) team, announced on Twitter earlier this month she will be playing for coach Candace Fenton-Bockbrader and Bowling Green State University next spring.
“I really wasn’t looking to transfer, but it just kind of happened towards the end of the year where it just seemed like, for me, it was probably the best decision going into my final year to leave and find a new home,” said Turner, who graduated from Springfield in 2020.
