BOWLING GREEN — T.J. Takats has experienced two vastly different ends of a baseball spectrum in the past year.
Because of it, the Bowling Green State University freshman standout’s love for the game has certainly grown.
From having to undergo Tommy John surgery to belting a grand slam for his first official collegiate home run in a 367-day span, Takats has had a whirlwind of a stretch in his baseball career. The former Perrysburg High School football and baseball standout has been a significant contributor to a Falcons’ team that is off to their best Mid-American Conference start in program history.
