BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Andy Gaytan, a graduating senior on the 2021 Bowling Green State University baseball team, has signed a professional contract to play with the Joliet Slammers of the Frontier League. Based out of Joliet, Illinois, the Slammers won the league's championship in 2018.
A native of Oak Forest, Illinois, Gaytan graduated from Bowling Green this summer after majoring in liberal studies. A graduate transfer from Chicago State, Gaytan proved to be a key cog in BGSU's outfield this season, starting 29 games and playing his best baseball down the stretch.
