AUBURN, Ala . — Coming out of Buckeye Central High School, a Division VII school in New Washington, Ohio, and spending much of his college career at Bowling Green State University, Grant Loy often pinches himself at where he finds himself today.
After committing to Auburn as a graduate transfer this offseason, Loy, one of the heroes of Bowling Green’s victory over Toledo last year, is the backup quarterback to five-star recruit Bo Nix.
Each week of this coronavirus-impacted season, Loy prepares to face the gauntlet of a Southeastern Conference-only schedule, and he often has to step back and savor the moment.
