BOWLING GREEN — Former Bowling Green State University hockey standout Austen Swankler is transferring for a second time, this time to a Division III program in Pennsylvania.
A first-team All-Central Collegiate Hockey Association pick in 2022-23, Swankler has joined the program at Chatham University in Pittsburgh. The North Huntingdon, Pa., native played in 10 games with Michigan Tech last season after transferring from Bowling Green in September.
The transfer from Bowing Green to Michigan Tech took place just as the CCHA named Swankler its 2023-24 preseason player of the year.
At Bowling Green, Swankler recorded 19 goals and 25 assists as a sophomore after posting eight goals and 18 assists as a freshman.
