Ken Klee has had a lot of memorable moments in his hockey career, going back to his days in northwest Ohio as a member of Bowling Green State University’s team.
He was grateful to add another one recently as a head coach.
Klee, a former Falcon who spent 14 seasons in the NHL from 1994 to 2009, guided Minnesota to the inaugural Professional Women’s Hockey League championship. Minnesota, which snuck into the playoffs as the fourth and final squad out of six teams in the league, claimed the Walter Cup after defeating Boston 3-0 in a winner-take-all showdown on May 29 in the best-of-five PWHL Finals.
